What makes a clean a deep clean
Our general clean looks after the surfaces you see and use every day. A deep clean goes after the buildup and detail work that a routine visit only touches: the grime on cabinet doors, the dust along baseboards and blinds, and the inside of the appliances. Before we start, we agree the plan with you, so you know exactly what we'll cover. It's a good way to catch up on a home that's gone a while without a thorough clean, to get the house ready for a holiday or visitors, or to start a regular cleaning schedule from a clean slate.
In the kitchen
On top of the general clean, we wet-wipe the cabinets and clean inside all of the appliances: the oven, the refrigerator, the toaster oven and the dishwasher. The dishwasher needs to be empty for us to clean inside it. We also do everything from the general kitchen clean: wiping the countertops and the outside of the appliances, touching up the cabinets and cleaning the sink.
Around the house
We wet-wipe the window sills, blinds, baseboards, doors, trim work and cabinet doors. We clean the ceiling fans if we can reach them with a two-step ladder, and the light fixtures. Glass doors and the inside of the windows get cleaned, and we vacuum under cushions and furniture where we can. On top of that comes everything a general clean covers: dusting the furniture, checking for cobwebs, vacuuming and mopping the floors, emptying the trash and making the beds.
In the bathrooms
Along with the countertops, sinks, toilets, tubs and showers, we wet-wipe the cabinet doors, the doors and trim, and the walls around the toilet, and shine the mirrors and faucets as on every clean. These are the spots where grime builds up slowly and a routine wipe doesn't reach.

- Clear what you can from countertops and furniture tops
- Tell us about any ceiling fans or fixtures that sit very high

What a deep clean doesn't include
A deep clean is thorough, but it isn't carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, window cleaning or mold remediation, and we don't offer any of those. Ceiling fans and fixtures out of reach of a two-step ladder are left alone. If you've just moved out of a home, a move-out clean covers the inside of the cabinets as well. Pressure washing, laundry and junk removal aren't services we offer either.

Spring and fall are when our schedule is fullest, and deep cleans are a big part of that. January and February are our quietest months, so there's usually more room on the calendar then.

Questions about deep cleaning
Do you clean inside the oven?
Yes. A deep clean includes the inside of the oven, the refrigerator, the toaster oven and the dishwasher.
Does the dishwasher need to be empty?
Yes. We can only clean inside it when it's empty.
Will you clean my ceiling fans?
Yes, if we can reach them with a two-step ladder. Fans higher than that are left alone.
Do you shampoo carpets?
No. Carpet cleaning isn't a service we offer. We vacuum the floors and mop the hard floors.
Is a deep clean the same as a move-out clean?
They're close. A move-out clean is made for an empty home and adds the inside of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, which is easiest once they've been emptied.
