What a maintenance clean covers
A maintenance clean is our general clean, done on a schedule. It keeps the rooms you use every day in good shape, so the house never gets away from you.
In the kitchen we wipe the countertops and the outside of the appliances, touch up the inside of the microwave and refrigerator, touch up the cabinets and clean the sink. Around the house we dust furniture, fans, blinds, window sills and baseboards, check for cobwebs, clean glass doors, vacuum the tops of sofa cushions, vacuum and mop the floors, empty the trash and make the beds. In the bathrooms we clean the countertops, sinks, toilets, tubs and showers, and shine the mirrors and faucets.
Dirty dishes go into the dishwasher if it's empty, and the beds get fresh sheets when you leave clean ones out.
Choosing how often we come
You can book us weekly, every other week or every four weeks. Weekly suits busy households and homes with a lot of daily traffic. Every other week is a good middle ground for many families. Every four weeks keeps on top of the bigger jobs in a quieter home. If you're not sure, we wrote a short guide to choosing a cleaning schedule. If it's been a while
A regular visit keeps a clean home clean. If baseboards, blinds or the inside of the oven have built up over time, ask whether a deep clean first makes sense. We'll talk it through with you when we work out your estimate. The estimate is free, and we work out a fair rate for your home and the schedule you choose.
Getting the house ready for us
A few small things help each visit go further:
- Pick up clothes, toys and clutter so we can reach the surfaces and floors
- Leave fresh sheets out if you'd like the beds changed
- Empty the dishwasher if you'd like dirty dishes put inside it
- Tell us about your pets, and any rooms you'd like skipped
- Let us know whether you'll be home, and how the team should get in if not
What isn't included
A maintenance clean doesn't include laundry, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, window cleaning or organizing. We don't offer those services, and we'd rather tell you now than disappoint you on the day. Pressure washing, pest control and junk removal aren't on our list either. Everything we do clean is on the list above.

Will you change the sheets?
We make the beds on every visit, and change the sheets if you leave fresh ones out. Laundry isn't a service we offer.
What happens to dirty dishes?
We clean the sink. If the dishwasher is empty, dirty dishes go inside it, so empty it before we arrive if you'd like that done.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We work out a fair rate for your home and how often you'd like us to come. There's no charge for the estimate.
What's the difference between a maintenance clean and a deep clean?
